New Piston and Rod Group that Improves Cold Weather Operation {1225}
- Machine Engines:
- 3406E
Description of Change: A new piston and rod group is used in 3406E machine engines. The new piston and rod group has a redesigned piston crown. The redesigned piston crown improves the cold weather operation of the piston.
Adaptable To: The new 176-5745 Piston and Rod Gp replaces the former 136-1562 Piston and Rod Gp. The new piston and rod group is effective with engine serial numbers (S/N: 9AP01639-UP; BET03284-UP; BKN00460-UP). The new piston and rod group is adaptable to the previous engine serial numbers.
The new 176-5745 Piston and Rod Gp is not available for parts service. Order the individual components for parts service. Refer to Illustration 1 and Table 1 for the required parts.
