Description of Change: The check valve group for the bowl lift cylinders has been improved on certain Wheel Tractor-Scrapers. Two seats are now available. The difference between the seats is the length. The seats will lessen the travel of the check ball. This will allow the oil to pass.

Adaptable To: Check the serial number of the 8J-8840 Check Valve Gp on your machine. The serial number of the 8J-8840 Check Valve Gp will determine the seats that are required.

Install the 7J-2372 Seat if the serial number of the 8J-8840 Check Valve Gp is 04116 or higher.

Install the 340-5474 Seat if the serial number of the 8J-8840 Check Valve Gp is prior to 04116.

Note: The 340-5474 Seat is longer than the 7J-2372 Seat. The machined seat depth in the valve body is deeper on the 8J-8840 Check Valve Gp that are machined prior to serial number 04116. The longer 340-5474 Seat will be used.The improved 8J-8840 Check Valve Gp is adaptable to the following machines:

• 631G (S/N: AWK1-198; AWK200-315; CLR1-288; CLR400-592; DFA1-364)

• 637E (S/N: 1FB75005-75008)

• 637G (S/N: AXT1-101; AXT300-337; CEH1-259; CEH350-424; DFJ1-405)

• 651E (S/N: 4YR414-432)

• 657E (S/N: 5YR562-656; 6TR423-430; 6TR75001-75002)

• 657G (S/N: A4G1; W1B1-136; W1C1-282)

The improved 8J-8840 Check Valve Gp is effective with the following machines:

• 631G (S/N: AWK316-UP; CLR593-UP; DFA365-UP)

• 637E (S/N: 1FB75009-UP)

• 637G (S/N: AXT338-UP; CEH425-UP; DFJ406-UP)

• 651E (S/N: 4YR433-UP)
