The following procedure describes the generation of a service loop that is needed to alleviate stress on the harness when you are installing a new 267-8686 Handle Control Gp .

- Locate Braided Harness (A) that exits the 267-8686 Handle Control Gp .
- Ensure proper placement of Braided Harness (A) into the 5P-8439 Grommet (C) .
- Place the 5P-8439 Grommet (C) and Braided Harness (A) into the respective location (B) which is on top of the base.
- Braided Harness (A) should already have a marker (D) in order to designate placement inside the 163-5512 Grommet (E) .
Note: If the marker is not already applied to the braided harness, measure 230 ± 10 mm (9.06 ± 0.39 inch) from the exit point of the braided harness from the 267-8686 Handle Control Gp. Mark Braided Harness (A) at this point.
