Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Disconnect fuel injection lines (1) from fuel injection nozzles (2). Plug all openings immediately.

- Disconnect fuel injection lines (1) from fuel injection pump (5). Plug all openings immediately.
Note: Secure the delivery valves with a wrench when you remove fuel injection lines (1) at fuel injection pump (5) .
- Remove fuel injection lines (1) from the engine.
Note: Loosen the clamps that tie the fuel injection lines together in order to maneuver the lines off the engine, if necessary.
- Disconnect fuel return line (3) from overflow valve (4) on fuel injection pump (5). Remove the sealing washers from overflow valve (4) .
- Remove fuel return line (3) from fuel injection nozzles (2) .
Note: Loosen the hose clamps and remove the individual fuel hoses between the fuel injection nozzles.
Installation Procedure

- Install fuel return line (3) on fuel injection nozzles (2) and fuel injection pump (5). Position the sealing washers on overflow valve (4). Tighten overflow valve (4) to a torque of 22 to 31 N·m (16 to 23 lb ft).

Note: Install the individual fuel hoses between the fuel injection nozzles. Tighten the hose clamps securely.
- Position the fuel injection lines on the engine.
- Connect fuel injection lines (1) at fuel injection pump (5). Tighten the union nuts to a torque of 27 to 32 N·m (20 to 24 lb ft).
Note: Secure the delivery valves with a wrench when you install fuel injection lines (1) to fuel injection pump (5) .
- Connect fuel injection lines (1) to fuel injection nozzles (2). Tighten the union nuts to a torque of 27 to 32 N·m (20 to 24 lb ft).
- If the clamps that tie the fuel injection lines together were loosened for removal purposes, tighten the clamps securely.
