Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the tire and rim. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim - Remove ". The information is in this manual.

1. Put identification marks on all lines, hoses, wires, and tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses and tubes. This helps prevent fluid loss and contamination of the oil system.

2. Use two lift trucks and nylon lifting straps in order to support axle housing (1) .

3. Disconnect hose assembly (2) from pin assembly (3). Remove three bolts (4) and the washers. Remove retainer (5) from pin assembly (3) .

4. Remove cotter pin (6) and remove pin (7) from suspension rod (8). Disconnect suspension rod (8) from suspension spring (9) .

5. Remove two bolts (10), bar (11) and pin assembly (12) from arm assembly (13) .

6. Remove two bolts (14) and bar (15). Remove three bolts (16) and retainer (17) .

7. Install Tool (A) into pin (19) and remove pin (19) .

8. Remove pin assembly (3). Lower the axle housing in order to remove arm assembly (13). Use a hoist and a nylon lifting strap in order to remove arm assembly (13). The arm assembly weighs approximately 75 kg (165 lb).
