Start By:

  1. Separate the track. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Seperate".

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

  1. Use Tooling (A) in order to raise the rear of the machine approximately 152 mm (6.0 inch). Install suitable blocking in order to support the machine.

  1. Use Tooling (A) in order to raise the front of the machine approximately 152 mm (6.0 inch). Install suitable blocking in order to support the machine.

  1. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2) .

  1. Remove bolts (3) and plate (4) .

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to track roller frame (5) at the front lifting point.

  1. Remove bolt (6) .

  1. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove pin assembly (7) .

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to track roller frame (5) at the rear lifting point.

  1. Remove track roller frame (5) . The weight of track roller frame (5) is approximately 1588 kg (3500 lb).

  1. Remove bearings (8) and (9) from each end of track roller frame (5) .
