D6N Track-Type Tractor Power Train Pivot Bar-Remove and Install Caterpillar

Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the track roller frame. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Roller Frame - Remove".

1. Remove seal (1).

2. Remove plugs (2).
   Show/hide table

3. Install Tooling (A).

4. Attach a suitable lifting device to pivot bar (4).

5. Remove bolts (3).

6. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove pivot bar (4). The weight of pivot bar (4) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. Apply Tooling (B) to the back side off pivot bar (4).

2. Position pivot bar (4). The weight of pivot bar (4) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb).

3. Install bolts (3).

5. Install seal (1).

End By:

1. Install the track roller frame. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Roller Frame - Install".
