Connection Procedure

1. If the track was removed from the machine, support the machine with Tooling (B) and install the track. Use Tooling (A) to lower the appropriate side of the machine. The weight of the track is approximately 1746 kg (3850 lb).

2. Install a chain through the track link. Attach a suitable lifting device onto the chain. Position the track onto the final drive sprocket. Turn the final drive in the reverse direction and permit the track to walk backward onto the final drive.

3. Position master shoe (4). Apply Tooling (C) onto master bolts (6) and install master bolts (6). Tighten master bolts (6) to a torque of 400 ± 70 N·m (300 ± 50 lb ft). Then, tighten master bolts (6) by an additional 120 ± 5 degrees.

4. Tighten the track. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track - Check/Adjust".
