Start By:

  1. Remove the tilt cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Bulldozer Tilt Cylinder (VPAT) - Remove".

  1. Use a suitable block on each side of the C-frame in order to support frame assembly (1).

  2. Use a suitable block in order to support cylinder (2).

  3. Repeat Step 2 for the opposite side.

  4. Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to blade assembly (3). Apply lifting tension in order to support blade assembly (3). The weight of the blade assembly is approximately 1360 kg (3000 lb).

  5. Remove pin (4) and spacers (5).

  6. Repeat Step 5 for the opposite side.

  7. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove spacer (6) and pin (7).

  8. Remove retainer (8).

  9. Use Tooling (C) in order to remove pin (9).

  10. Use Tooling (E) in order to remove ring (10) from blade assembly (3), if necessary.

  11. Use Tooling (F) in order to remove bearing (11) from blade assembly (3), if necessary.

  12. Use Tooling (E) in order to remove ring (12) from link assembly (13A), if necessary.

  13. Use Tooling (D) in order to remove bearing (13) from link assembly (13A), if necessary.
