Start By:

  1. Separate the output transfer gears from the transmission planetary group.

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before disassembly, thoroughly clean the exterior of the case to prevent dirt and debris from entering the internal mechanism. During disassembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Then allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry the parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble.
