Start By:

  1. Connect the steering frame lock.

  2. Remove the roading fenders.

  1. Position Tooling (A) under the rear frame, as shown. Use Tooling (A) to raise the machine so that the rear tires are off the ground.

  2. Position Tooling (A1) under the rear frame, as shown.

  3. Use Tooling (A1) to raise the rear of the machine so that the rear tires are off the ground. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (A1).

  4. Install suitable blocking (1) between the axle and the frame to prevent the axle from oscillating during the removal of the tire and rim. Repeat this Step for the other side of the machine.

  5. Attach a suitable lifting device to rear tire and rim (2). The weight of rear tire and rim (2) is approximately 450 kg (992 lb).

  6. Remove bolts (3) and rear tire and rim (2).

  7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the other rear tire and rim.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install rear tire and rim (2) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Install bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 570 ± 80 N·m (420 ± 59 lb ft). Then turn bolts (3) by an extra 60 ± 5 degrees.
