- Remove the equalizer bar pads.

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death. |
Note: Threaded rods cannot be used with hydraulic cylinders as tooling.

- Remove bolts (1) from retainer (2). Repeat for the opposite side.
Note: The pivot shaft seal will be damaged if bolts (1) are not removed.

- Use Tooling (B) to pull pin (7) out of saddle (8).
- Adjust Tooling (B). Pull pin (7) out of saddle (8) until the step in pin (7) is clear of saddle (8). Remove Tooling (B).

- Install equalizer bar (9) in the reverse order of removal.
