Note: Check the location of marking (X) on the ends of the cartridge pin. The marking on the cartridge pin should be perpendicular to the rail of the outer track link that will be pushed. If the orientation is not correct, rotate the cartridge pin to the correct position.

Note: The cartridge pin and clamp master links must be free of paint and debris.

  1. Attach Tooling (B) in order to position the track.

  1. Apply Tooling (C) to bores of clamp master links (5) and the collars of the cartridge pins. Install clamp master links (5) .

Note: Do not reuse track bolts. Because the track bolts have been torqued to a yield, the bolts can only be used one time. Failure to replace the track bolts with new track bolts could result in damage to the machine.

  1. Use two people in order to install track shoe (4) . The weight of track shoe (2) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb). Apply Tooling (C) to the threads and face of bolts (3) . Install track shoe (4) and bolts (3) . Tighten bolts (3) in numerical order. Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 550 ± 70 N·m (405 ± 50 lb ft). Tighten bolts (3) to an additional turn of 180 degrees.
