Start By:
- Remove the turbocharger.
- Remove the exhaust cooler.
- Remove locknuts (1) and remove the spacers. Discard all locknuts (1).
- Remove manifold assembly (2).

- Remove studs (7).
- Separate manifold sections (3), (4), and (5). Remove and discard gaskets (6).

- Install manifold assembly (2) in the reverse order of removal.
- Apply a thin coat of Tooling (A) to the outside of the male ends of manifold sections (5) and (3). Assemble manifold sections (3), (4), and (5), as shown.
- Apply Tooling (B) on the threads of studs (7) . Install and tighten studs (7) to a torque of
35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft) . - Install new gaskets (6) with the tabs facing down.
- Apply Tooling (B) on the threads of new locknuts (1). Install the locknuts.

55 ± 5 N·m (41 ± 4 lb ft) .
