When battery disconnect switch (3) is in the ON position the switch contacts close to connect the batteries to machine ground. When the battery disconnect switch is in the OFF position the switch contacts open to disconnect the batteries from the machine ground. When the battery disconnect switch is in the OFF position, power is not supplied to any electrical systems on the machine.
