Operator Identification Settings

The Operator Identification field (1) shows which operator is logged in to operate the machine. This information is located in the Message Window of the display.
Upon keying on the machine, the display will prompt the operator to log in with either a numeric passcode or a Bluetooth key code. The machine has a feature called the Machine Security System (MSS). When installed, MSS protects the machine from unauthorized operation.
Note: Refer to "Operator Menu" for more information.

If no operator is logged in, the Message Window will indicate this as well. There will be no name. The Operator ID icon will have a line through it.
The Operator Icon in the Message Window can be shown in 3 ways:
No Icon - MSS/ Operator ID not enabled/installed |
Operator Logged in - Via MSS/Operator ID, name shown next to icon if available |
MSS/Operator ID enabled - No operator logged in |
Standard - The Standard or basic operator can log on to the machine and off the machine and change operators but cannot add or delete other operators.
Master - The Master Operator can log, add, or delete Standard operators and other Master Operators.

- Press the "Operator ID" menu button (5) on the "Settings" page. The Operator ID settings page will appear.

Note: Depending on how the operator has been entered into the system by the Master Operator, the "Change Operator" page has 2 different selections:
- Digital Passcode
- Hexadecimal Key Code
The Hexadecimal Key Code is used when the display picks up a Bluetooth signal, as long as one is installed. For more information, refer to the "Managing Operators" section.
Note: The Search for Key Button will only be visible if Bluetooth is installed.

- Enter the passcode of the replacement operator by pressing the intended number buttons on the Numerical Keypad (4). The numeric passcode cannot exceed 7 digits, including leading zeroes.
- Correct a mistyped number by pressing the Backspace button (5), then reenter the correct number.
- Press the "OK" button (6) to confirm the passcode entry.

If the passcode is accepted, the name of the new operator (Example: Operator 2) will appear in the display Operator Identification Field (1).

If the passcode is not accepted, 3 asterisks will appear in the number field of the keypad and flash 3 times. The operator can try to reenter the passcode again.

Note: If the login procedure is blocked due to several invalid login attempts, the "Passcode Entry Blocked" page will appear. While blocked, the machine will be locked out for 15 minutes.
Press the Back button (8) to return to the previous page. Press the Next button (9) to advance to the next page.
Search for Key Button Choose Key Type
The Hexadecimal Key Code is used when the display detects a Bluetooth signal.
Note: The "Search for Key:" button (7) will only be visible if Bluetooth is installed.

If the operator is set up with a hexadecimal key code, the code can be located by pressing the "Search for Key:" button (7). The Choose Key Type page will appear.

There are 2 Option (Radio) buttons in the Choose Key Type page:
- "Passcode"
- "Bluetooth"®
Pressing the "Passcode" Option (Radio) button (10) will allow the operator to key in a numerical passcode by using a numerical keypad.
Pressing the "Bluetooth"® Option (Radio) button (11) will allow the operator to search for an access code by locating a Bluetooth hexadecimal signal.
- Press the intended option button on the "Choose Key Type" button page. A white circle will be displayed in the selected button.
- Press the Back button (8) to set the selection and return to the previous page.
- Press the "Search for Key:" button (7) and allow the display to search for the correct key.
Note: Pressing the "Search for Key:" button (7) does not log out the current operator.
Note: Changing the operator will load the machine settings and the display settings that are tied to that particular Operator Identification.

The "Detecting new key…" page will appear. This page will remain until a new key has been detected.
Note: Pressing the Back button (8) during this procedure will cancel the detection attempt.
The display will indicate that the new key is being detected.

If the passcode has not been entered successfully, a message appears telling the operator that the code entry has been blocked.
Press the Back button (8) to return to the previous screen.

On the "Manage Operators" page, corresponding key type icons are visible with the Operator name.
For example, "Operator 1" (13) uses a numerical keypad to enter in the passcode, as indicated by the keypad icon on the menu button. "Operator 2" (12) keys into the system by using a Bluetooth connection, as the menu button icon shows.
Logging Out the Operator (Standard or Master)

Note: The following procedure can be performed by both the Standard Operator and the Master Operator.
The "Log Out Operator" page allows the operator to log off the machine. The Current Operator ID in the Operator Identification field (1), identifies the current operator of the machine.

- Press the "Log Out Operator" menu button (5). The "Log Out Operator" page will appear.
- Press the "OK" button (8) to verify the operator log-out.
- Press the Cancel button (7) to cancel the operator log-out.

Note: The following procedure can only be performed by the Master Operator.
The "Manage Operators" page will only be visible to the operator with a Master Operator log-on and pass code. This section will allow a Master Operator to perform the following functions:
- Add an operator
- Delete an operator
Note: Only a Master Operator can add or delete a Standard Operator or another Master Operator.

If the master operator wants to create a setting where the new operator code is entered manually into a numerical keypad, then the master operator would press the "Passcode" Option (Radio) button (8).
If the master operator wants to create a setting where the new operator code can be located by Bluetooth, then the master operator would press the "Bluetooth"® Option (Radio) button (7).
Pressing the "Passcode" Option (Radio) button (8) will allow the operator to key in a numerical passcode by using a numerical keypad.
Pressing the "Bluetooth"® Option (Radio) button (7) will allow the operator to search for the access code by locating a Bluetooth hexadecimal signal.
- Press the Back button (3) to return to the previous page.
- Press the Home button (4) to return to the Performance Page (Home page).

The Current Setting Status (5) in the "Key Type" menu button (6) now indicates that the key type status is now Bluetooth®.

The "Access Level" page will allow the master operator to determine whether the new operator will be a "Standard" operator or a "Master" operator.
- Press the "Access Level" button (6). The "Choose Access Level" page will appear.

The "Choose Access Level" button group has 2 option (radio) buttons:
- "Master" (Master Operator)
- "Standard" (Standard operator)
If the Master Operator wants to create another Master Operator
- Press the "Master" Option (Radio) button (8).
A white circle will appear in the "Master" Option (Radio) button (8).
The "Enter New Name" alphanumeric keypad will appear.
On the "Add Operator" page, the Current Setting Status (5) of the "Access Level" button (6) will indicate that the setting is "Master".
If the Master Operator wants to create a Standard Operator
- Press the "Standard" Option (Radio) button (7).
A white circle will appear in the "Standard" Option (Radio) button (7).
The "Enter New Description" alphanumeric keypad will appear.
On the"Add Operator" page, the Current Setting Status (5) of the "Access Level" button (6) will indicate that the setting is "Standard".
Note: Only a Master Operator can add or delete other Master Operators and all Standard operators.

The "Enter New Description" page will allow the master operator to enter the operator description. For example, "Master Op 1", shown in the Operator Identification field (1), was initially entered in the Description page.
- Press the "Description"menu button (6). The "Enter New Description" keypad page will appear.
Note: The name cannot be longer than 11 characters.
- Enter a new operator name by typing in the name with the Alphanumeric Keypad (9). The Letter Case Change button (10) is used to toggle between capital letters and lower case letters.
- Correct a mistyped letter by pressing the Backspace button (8), then reenter the correct letter.
- Press the "OK" button (7) to confirm the name entry.
- Press the Back button (3) to return to the previous page.
- Press the Home button (4) to return to the Performance Page (Home page).

The operator description will appear in the Current Settings Status field (5) of the "Description" button (6).
Note: If the Passcode setting has been selected on the "Choose Key Type" page, proceed to "Enter a New Key Code (Numerical Keypad)".
Note: If the Bluetooth setting has been selected on the "Choose Key Type" page, proceed to "Enter a New Key Code (Bluetooth Hexadecimal Keypad)".

Enter a New Key Code (Numerical Keypad)
Note: This section is for master operators who want to set up a new operator with a numerical passcode.
For information on how to set up a Hexadecimal Key Code, refer to "Enter a New Key Code (Bluetooth Hexadecimal Keypad)".

The "Key Code" page will allow the master operator to enter in the operator key code or passcode. This code will be used by the operator to log on to the machine.
- Press the "Key Code" menu button (6). The "Enter New Passcode" page will appear.

Once a passcode is verified as valid, the new Operator Name (Example: Operator 2) will be displayed in the Operator Identification field (1).
The Operator Icon in the Message Window can be shown in 3 ways:

- Enter the key code by pressing the intended buttons on the Bluetooth Hexadecimal Keypad (7). The numeric passcode cannot exceed 12 characters.
- Correct a mistyped character by pressing the Backspace button (6), then reenter the correct character.

If either the passcode or the key code has been entered successfully, a message will appear in the Information Message Banner (1) indicating that the operator has been successfully added (Example message: "Add Operator Successful").
The newly created "Operator 3" menu button (4) will appear on the "Manage Operators" page. Inside the new menu button will be an icon, indicating that the new operator has a numeric passcode (Icon: Keypad icon) or a Bluetooth key code (Example: Key Code icon).
Note: If there are more than 5 operators added, a Scroll Bar with a Sliding Indicator will appear on the Manage Operators page.

If the new operator has been successfully entered, the new operator information will appear in the operator menu button group. This group contains the following buttons:
- Key Type (Passcode or Bluetooth)
- Access Level (Standard or Master)
- Description (Name entered for that particular operator) (Example: Operator 3)
- Key Code (Shown as asterisks, the actual key code will not be visible)
- Press the "OK" button (5) to confirm the data.

The newly created "Operator 3" will also appear in the Operator ID field (11) on the Message Window.
Add Operator Failed or Max (Maximum) Reached

If the passcode has not been entered successfully, a message will appear in the Message Window (1) indicating that the new operator could not be added (Example message: "Add Operator Failed or Max Reached").
Note: Failure is possible if the following occurs:
- The passcode or key code exists
- The maximum limit of 25 total operators has been reached.
Press the Back button (2) to return to the "Application Profile" page. Press the Home button (3) to return to the Home Page (Performance Page).

Pressing any of the custom created menu buttons will navigate the Master Operator to an accompanying Operator Information page.
For example, pressing the "Operator 3" menu button (4) will take the Master Operator to the Operator 3 information page.

Pressing an Operator Menu Button on the Manage Operators Page
Example: Standard operator with a numerical passcode.
Illustration 40 shows the following information:
- Master Op 1 is logged in, as shown in the Operator Identification field (9).
- Master Op 1 has added another standard operator menu button ("Operator 3").
- Operator 3 has a numerical passcode, which is visible in the Page ID (8)
- The information in the Current Setting Status (10) of the "Access Level" button (7) shows that Operator 3 has "Standard" operator access.
- The information in the Current Setting Status (10) of the "Description" button (6) shows that the newly created operator is "Operator 3".
Note: Only a Master Operator can add or delete a Standard Operator or another Master Operator.

The following procedure is how to delete an operator by a Master Operator.
- Navigate to the "Manage Operators" page.
- Press the menu button of the operator to be deleted.
- Press the "Delete Operator" menu button (5). The Delete Operator verification page will appear.
