Illustration 1g06445023

The Information Display Screen appears when the machine is keyed on and when the machine is starting up. First, a black splash screen will appear. The Cat® corporate logo will appear on the splash screen. The splash screen will be visible for 3 seconds before the Performance Page appears on the display screen.

The Performance Page (Home Page) will gradually fade in from the black splash screen within 1 second of the machine key-on.

Note: A valid Operator ID must be entered if machine is equipped with a Machine Security System (MSS) before the engine will start.

Note: If the Rear View Camera is installed on the Primary Display, the Back-Up Camera screen will appear after the splash screen and before the Performance Page.

Automatic Calibration

Information Message Banner

When first starting the machine, the Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) need to calibrate to allow the assist features to work. The calibration can only be done when the machine is stationary. If the operator moves the machine before the IMUs have calibrated, the message shown in Illustration 2 will be displayed to notify the operator to stop the machine for calibration.

Key Switch Override

In most instances, the display screen will still be visible even after the operator keys the machine OFF. This visible screen allows the operator to continue monitoring the machine.

Note: The display screen will shut down when the engine has stopped running and after the key switch is not turned ON.

The display screen will not be visible when the machine is keyed OFF for the following conditions:

  • Engine

  • Transmission

  • Implement

  • Steering

  • Machine

(1) Display Case Action Lamps
(2) Level 3-Red Action Lamp
(3) Level 2-Amber Action Lamp

The display case will feature two Display Case Action Lamps (1) on the left side of the display case.

The two Display Case Action Lamps (1) warn the operator of the following condition:

  • Level 2-Amber Action Lamp (3)

  • Level 3-Red Action Lamp (2)

Level 2-Amber Action Lamp (3) - Alerts the operator of an out of range condition and that the operator should change machine operation or perform maintenance to the system. Failure to correct the problem that caused this warning may result in damage to the involved components or the involved system of the machine. The action lamp may also pulse ON and OFF when this indicator is on to indicate a level 2S warning.

Level 3-Red Action Lamp (2) - Alerts the operator of a failure or of a potential safety condition that requires an immediate safe shutdown of the machine. The problem that caused the event must be corrected before machine operation can resume. The action lamp will pulse ON and OFF when this indicator is on.
