Engine coolant temperature gauge (5) |
The engine coolant temperature gauge (5) indicates the temperature of the engine coolant. When the temperature is above 113 °C (235 °F), the needle will be in the red zone.
Note: If the needle is in the red zone, stop the engine immediately and investigate the cause of the problem. Do not operate the machine until the cause of the problem has been corrected.
See Table 2 for details of the engine coolant temperature gauge.

Illustration 5 | g01351365 |
Engine oil pressure gauge (6) |
The engine oil pressure gauge (6) indicates the pressure of the engine oil. When the pressure is below 107 kPa (16 psi), the needle will be in the red zone.
Note: If the needle is in the red zone, stop the engine immediately and investigate the cause of the problem. Do not operate the machine until the cause of the problem has been corrected.
Oil Pressure Gauge     | |
Sensor Input     | Engine     |
Minimum     | 100 kPa (15 psi)     |
End of the Red Zone     | 107 kPa (16 psi)     |
Nominal     | 400 kPa (58 psi)     |
Maximum     | 600 kPa (88 psi)     |
Fuel Level Gauge

Illustration 6 | g01351310 |
Fuel level gauge (7) |
The fuel level gauge (7) indicates the amount of fuel that is remaining in the fuel tank.
See Table 4 for details of the fuel level gauge.
Fuel Level Gauge     | |
---|---|
To Input     | Machine ECM     |
Minimum     | 12%     |
Red Zone End     | 20%     |
Nominal     | 50%     |

The instrument cluster contains sixteen indicators. The indicators consist of the following:
- One visual alert indicator
- One audio action alarm
- Fourteen visual Status Indicators
Details of the indicators follow:
Alert Indicators
![]() | Action Lamp (15) - The action lamp indicates a warning. When a serious abnormal condition exists, the instrument cluster activates the output for the action lamp and the action lamp flashes. For more information, see the System Operation, "Warning Operation" of this manual. |
Action Alarm
Action Alarm - When a critical abnormal condition exists, the instrument cluster activates the output for the action alarm and the action alarm sounds. For more information, see the System Operation, "Warning Operation" of this manual.
Status Indicators
![]() | Parking Brake (16) - This parking brake indicator illuminates when the parking brake is engaged or when the NEUTRAL position is interlocked. See Table 5 for details. |
Parking Brake     | |
---|---|
Illumination     | Indication     |
Solid Red     | Parking Brake ON     |
Flashing Red     | NEUTRAL INTERLOCKED     |
If this indicator flashes red in color, return the machine to the NEUTRAL position. Then, engage the parking brake.
![]() | Implement Lockout (17) - This indicator is illuminated when the implement lockout is activated. The illumination is solid red in color. |
![]() | Hydraulic Oil Filter (18) - This indicator is illuminated when the hydraulic oil filter is clogged or when the hydraulic oil filter is dirty. The illumination is solid amber in color. |
![]() | Machine Security System (14) - The indicator will illuminate when the machine security system is activated and an attempt to start the machine is made. An illumination indicates that operation is not allowed. The illumination is solid red in color. |
![]() | Engine Air Filter (13) - This indicator is illuminated when the filter is plugged or when the filter is dirty. The illumination is solid red in color. |
![]() | Starting Aid (12) - This indicator is illuminated when ether is injected into the engine. The illumination is solid amber in color. |
![]() | Low Fuel Level (11) - This indicator will flash when the fuel level is less than 12 percent. The illumination is amber in color. |
![]() | Fuel Filter (10) - This indicator will illuminate when the fuel filter is plugged. The Messenger will tell the operator if the restriction is in the primary filter or the secondary filter. The event is reset on each cycle of the keyswitch. The illumination is solid amber in color. |
![]() | Operator Present (19) - This indicator is illuminated when the operator is not present. The illumination is solid amber in color. |
