The pump is a one-section gear type pump.
Rotation is counterclockwise when the rotation is viewed from the drive end. For bench testing, use SAE 10W oil that is at 49°C (120°F).
Rotate the pump by hand. The pump must rotate freely.

Note: Install the bearings into the bores so that the bearings are 1.5 ± 0.5 mm (.06 ± .02 inch) below the surface. Install the bearings so that the bearing joints are 30 ± 15° from the centerlines of the shafts, as shown.
