Note: For instruction on reusability, refer to Guideline For Reusable Parts, SEBF8022, "Sealed And Lubricated Track".
Maximum track press assembly force ... 550 kN (123645 lb)
(1) Torque for bolts that hold the half links together ... 170 ± 40 N·m (125 ± 30 lb ft)
Then turn the bolts by another 120 degrees.
Put 4C-5592 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the bolt, the body of the bolt, and the washer face of each bolt before installation.
(2) Torque for bolts that hold the track shoe to the link ... 170 ± 40 N·m (125 ± 30 lb ft)
Then, turn the bolts by another 120 degrees.
Put SAE 30W oil on the threads of the bolt, the body of the bolt, and the washer face of each bolt before installation.
Note: Install the nuts so that the radii on the corner of the nut is against the link.
(3) Height of a new link ... 105.5 mm (4.15 inch)
Height of link that is worn 100 percent ... 96.5 mm (3.80 inch)
(4) Distance from the center of one pin to the center of the next pin (pitch) ... 171.07 ± 0.13 mm (6.735 ± 0.005 inch)
(5) Extension of pin beyond both sides of the link ... 4.9 ± 0.8 mm (0.19 ± 0.03 inch)
(6) Bushings
- Diameter of a new bushing ... 60.70 ± 0.13 mm (2.390 ± 0.005 inch)
-
The minimum diameter of the bushing before the bushing is turned:
- Operations under little shock load or no shock load ... 51.6 mm (2.03 inch)
- Operations under average or heavy shock load ... 54.1 mm (2.13 inch)
(7) Thickness of a new thrust ring ... 10.70 ± 0.08 mm (0.421 ± 0.003 inch)
(8) Distance from the face of the link to the end of the bushing ... 1.45 ± 0.13 mm (0.057 ± 0.005 inch)
(9) Maximum permissible end clearance (end play) ... 0.20 mm (0.008 inch)
