Maximum opening pressure of flow control valve ... 1400 kPa (200 psi)

(1) Port for hydraulic tank

(2) Outlet port to the steering cylinders for a right turn

(3) Outlet port to the steering cylinders for a left turn

(4) Torque for nut ... 18 ± 2 N·m (13 ± 2 lb ft)

Note: Hold retainer assembly (19) when you are tightening nut (4) .

(5) Inlet port for the hydraulic and steering pump

(6) Lubricate the seal with a thin covering of the lubricant that is being sealed.

(7) Check Valve

Cracking pressure ... 24 ± 4 kPa (3.5 ± 0.5 psi)

(8) Place the stem in a downward position when you clean the steering control valve or when you paint the steering control valve. This will protect the stem from paint and debris around the sealing lip.

(9) 4J-8224 Shim thickness ... 0.25 mm (0.010 inch)

(10) 5J-4776 Shim thickness ... 0.13 mm (0.005 inch)

Note: As required, use shims (9) and (10) to balance cylinder pressure and cylinder flow to each steering cylinder.

(11) 7H-0832 Spring

Test length ... 38.9 mm (1.53 inch)

Test force ... 180 ± 13 N (41 ± 3 lb)

Free length after test ... 55.9 mm (2.20 inch)

Outside diameter ... 42.4 mm (1.67 inch)

(12) Lubricate the lip of the seal with a thin covering of the lubricant that is being sealed.
