Note: All joints of the link assembly must have flexibility even with a measurable end play of zero. Flexibility is the ability for movement from the weight of the link assembly.

Use the following procedure to tighten the track bolts:

  1. Tighten the track bolts to 340 ± 70 N·m (251 ± 52 lb ft).

  1. Tighten the standard track bolts to an additional turn of 120 ± 5 degrees.

  1. Tighten the master link bolts to an additional turn of 180 ± 5 degrees.

The maximum assembly force for the track link assembly ... 530000 N (119149 lb)

(A) Distance between the bolt holes ... 146.05 ± 0.39 mm (5.750 ± 0.015 inch)

(B) Distance between the bolt holes ... 184.15 ± 0.39 mm (7.250 ± 0.015 inch)

(C) Distance between the bolt holes ... 147.00 ± 0.80 mm (5.787 ± 0.032 inch)

(D) Distance between the bolt holes ... 172.40 ± 0.80 mm (6.787 ± 0.032 inch)

(F) Clearances at both side of the link assembly ... 1.5 mm (0.06 inch)

(G) Protrusion at each end of the bushing ... 1.76 ± 0.13 mm (0.069 ± 0.005 inch)

Detail of area E

Note: The plug (1) must not be recessed below the surface of the stopper (2) after assembly.

(H) Distance from the end of the plug (1) to the surface of the stopper (2) ... 0 to 2 mm (0 to 0.1 inch)

(J) Distance from the end of the pin (3) to the surface of the stopper (2) ... 8.0 ± 4.0 mm (0.31 ± 0.16 inch)

End play for the link assemblies ... 0 to 0.20 mm (0 to 0.008 inch)
