NOTE: This Program can be administered either before or
after a problem is encountered.
The decision whether or not to apply the program is
made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use
PS4828 as Part Number causing incident and "7755" as
the Group Number.

Termination Date

November 30, 1993

Problem

The 8T0070 Bolts holding the transmission mounts on certain
966F Wheel Loaders may loosen or break.

Parts Needed

2 - 1V3995 Pin
2 - 4V6430 Bracket Assembly
2 - 6C8816 Bracket Assembly
8 - 2A1538 Bolt
8 - 5P8248 Washer
1. With the machine on a flat hard surface, implements down
fully articulate to one side (left). Remove if applicable
the 6C5088 Guard-RH, part of the 8R9713 Sound Suppression.
2. Support transmission firmly with jacks and stands. Remove
the 4 - 2A1538 Bolts holding the 8R6213 Mount on right
side of transmission. Refer to items 2 and 1 of page 18
Parts Book HEBP 1929.
3. Cut off the mounting pad on the engine frame.
Take care not to cut into the frame. Grind the surface
clean.
4. Install the 7N1164 Mount and 1V3995 Pin into the 4V6430
Bracket. Mount the 4V6430 Bracket Assembly to the
transmission using the 2A1538 Bolts and 5P8248 Washers.
5. Mount the 6C8816 Bracket loosely to the 1V3995 Pin so it
can be rotated and moved sideways on the pin.
6. Center the 6C8816 Bracket over the engine frame. Add
shims if a gap is found between the bracket and frame. If
the bracket interfers with the frame then remove material
on the bottom side of the bracket so as to allow the
bracket to just touch the frame without changing the
original position of the transmission.
7. With the 6C8816 Bracket properly positioned as per the
sketch, spot-weld the bracket to the frame at the 4
corners and then run a 10 mm weld on both sides of the
bracket.

8. Torque the 2 - 8C6362 Cap bolts on the 6C8816 Bracket to
200 - 25 Nm (150 - 20 Lb.Ft.).
9. Straighten the machine, remove the fuel tank and repeat
the same procedure on the left side.
NOTE: During torching and welding make sure the hoses and
steering cylinder rods are protected from weld
splatter.
