This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI33210" as the Part Number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI33210" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your AVSpare product analyst.

|In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 41% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.
|Inspect to verify that the part number on the auxiliary drive gear is 221-9357.
If the correct gear is found, no additional work is needed. Reinstall the fuel transfer pump or cover.
If the incorrect gear is found, replace incorrect 361-5603 auxiliary drive gear with correct 221-9357 auxiliary drive gear.

Dear Cat Product Owner:
The auxiliary drive gear needs to be inspected and possibly replaced on the products listed below. The existing auxiliary drive gear can fail if incorrect. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 19Aug2020 when scheduling this service.
We regret the inconvenience this may cause you, and urge you to have this service performed as soon as possible to prevent unscheduled downtime.

|Follow the steps below for inspecting and possibly replacing the gear. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly manual as needed.
1) Remove the bolts that hold the fuel transfer pump or cover. Remove the fuel transfer pump or cover.
2) Inspect the gear in the front housing. If the correct gear was installed, the gear will be marked with 221-9357 and visible on the end of the auxiliary drive gear. Take a photo of the gear end for documentation.
If the gear was not correctly installed (221-9357 not shown), follow step 3 through 6.
If the correct gear is installed (221-9357 shown), go to step 6.
3) Remove the bolts for the adapter and remove the adapter.
4) Remove the incorrectly installed gear and install the new gear.
5) Install the adapter. Tighten the adapter bolts to 28Nm.
6) Install the fuel transfer pump or cover. Tighten the cover bolts to 30Nm. Tighten the fuel transfer pump bolts to 55Nm.
