In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer and service rep. Obtain the service reps Goodwill Approver Code
before completing the repair. EAME dealers should use their standard Industry Group specific goodwill approval codes. The Goodwill Approver Code must be included when submitting the claim.

If administered before failure, use "56" as Warranty Claim Description and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor(VCI) bags are placed inside the transmission and torque converter sumps to avoid corrosion. These bags may not have been removed during assembly on certain D6R and D8T Track-Type Tractors. If not removed, the VCI bag may result in catastrophic failure of drivetrain components.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual if/as necessary.
REWORK PROCEDURE A - Transmission Sump Inspection
Inspect 6 Locations:
1. PTO suction Screen (drop bottom guard, remove hose, remove screen and inspect both sides).

2. PTO suction Tube (ensure there is nothing stuck midway in the tube).

3. Differential Steer Module (inspect all around the entire diff module, between it and the support arm, and top of arm).

4. Left Hand Brake Module (inspect all around the LH brake).

5. Right Hand Brake Module (inspect all around the RH brake).

6. Case and Frame Sump (inspect the bottom of the case housing).

These will require removal of the 2 rear bottom guards, and removal of the transmission to inspect these areas.
After this inspection is complete, the entire inside of the case should have been checked for any VCI (moisture) bags.
Check powertrain oil level and fill as required. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Power Train System Oil And Screens - Change/Clean" for the correct draining and filling procedures.
REWORK PROCEDURE B - Torque Converter Sump Inspection
Inspect 3 Locations:
1. Torque Converter Suction Screen (drop bottom guard, drain oil, remove scavenge hose, remove screen and inspect both sides of the screen).

2. Suction Screen Channel (use scope and inspect the inside of the cast channel in the base of the torque converter sump).

3. Torque Converter Sump Floor (use a scope and inspect the floor of the TC sump, look at both sides of the cast channel, remove the engine flywheel housing elbow and inspect through the front access hole).

These will require removal of the 2 rear bottom guards, and draining the TC sump oil to inspect these areas.
After this inspection is complete, the inside floor of the TC sump will been checked for any VCI (moisture) bags.
Check powertrain oil level and fill as required. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Power Train System Oil And Screens - Change/Clean" for the correct draining and filling procedures.
