Guard Rail Installation Procedure for D11T Track-Type Tractors{7150, 7256} Caterpillar

Introduction

This special instruction provides the installation procedure for the standard guard rails on D11T Track-Type Tractors.

Do not perform any procedure that is outlined in this publication until you have read the information and you understand the information. Do not order any parts until you have read the information and you understand the information.

1. Attach plate (1) to fender with four screws (2) .

2. Attach two support assemblies (3) to fender assembly with four bolts (4) and four washers (5) .

3. Attach guardrail assembly (6) to fender assembly and support assembly (3) with 12 bolts (7) and 12 washers (8) .

   Note: Two bolts (7) and two washers (8) should be used at each post.

4. Attach guard (9) to guardrail assembly (6) with eight bolts (10) and eight washers (11) .

5. If the holes are not already plugged, install four screws (2) into the fender assembly.

6. If the holes are not already plugged, install 11 bolts (7), nine washers (12), and two washers (8) .

1. Attach guardrail assembly (15) to the hydraulic tank with four clips (16), four grommets (18), four clips (17), four bolts (7) and four washers (12) .
