Installing Tool Bar Beam Assembly

Put 18 inch (45 cm) blocks under beam assembly

Back tractor up to beam

Align brackets with draft members

Install pins and cotter (two on each side)

Locating Draft Members

2-3 inches (50-75 mm) clearance on each side

Loosen bracket bolts

Move brackets

For correct clearance

Tighten bolts

Beam Adjustment

Beam must be parallel to ground when implement is at desired penetration depth

Lengthen screws to decrease penetration

NOTE: Do not lengthen screw more than 5 1/2 inches (140 mm)

Shorten screws to increase penetration

Lock handles

Removing Tool Bar Beam Assembly

Put 18 inch (45 cm) blocks under beam assembly

Remove adjusting screw cotter and pin (one on each side)

Remove draft member cotter and pin (one on each side)

Drive tractor away

Installing Tool Bar Blade

Remove tool bar beam assembly and drive tractor ahead

Swing draft frame arms to the front

Attach diagonal braces to eyebolt on blade with pins and cotters

With blade in vertical position and stand installed

Drive tractor into position and install draft frame pins and cotters

Install adjusting screw pins and cotters

Attach diagonal braces to draft frame arms with pins and cotters

Raise blade support stand

Adjusting Blade

To tilt blade:

Shorten screw on side to be low

Lengthen screw on side to be high

NOTE: Toolbar - Do not lengthen screw more than 5 1/2 inches (140 mm)

Bulldozer - Do not lengthen screw more than 5 inches (127 mm)

To tip blade:

Shorten both adjusting screws to tip blade back

Lengthen both adjusting screws to tip blade forward

NOTE: Toolbar - Do not lengthen screw more than 5 1/2 inches (140 mm)

Bulldozer - Do not lengthen screw more than 5 inches (127 mm)

Removing Blade

Lower support stand and blade

Remove diagonal braces

Remove cotters and pins from adjusting screws and draft frame

Back tractor away

DO NOT leave blade standing upright unless adequately supported

Reversing Fan Blades

Disconnect switch OFF

Push blade in

Twist blade to reverse notch

Reverse ALL blades

Reversing Hitch

Remove pin latches

Remove clevis

Remove plate

Position spacers (D4 only)

Install plate (face side stamped "B" toward bracket faces)

Install clevis

Install pin latches


NOTICE

Drawbar parts are heavy - handle with care

Check tractor controls

Check implement controls

Check hitch pin latches

Move obstructions

Raise equipment

Clear area

Proper depth

Summary Of Operating Hints

All gauges must read in normal operating range.
All controls must work properly.
All hose connections must be tight.
Implement bolts, nuts and other connections must be tight
Hitch pin lock must be engaged.
Move all obstructions.
Raise implements.
Clear area of people.
Shut down machine if any gauge shows abnormal reading.
Stop machine if any control does not work properly.
Keep implement at proper depth in ground.
Lift implement before making sharp turn.
Repair or replace implement when worn or damaged.
Follow implement manufacturers instructions.
Operate only with adequate light.
Inspect machine and implement frequently.
Stay alert. If drowsy, stop machine and stretch or walk around machine. Drink some coffee.
Keep a sharp lookout for stray animals.
