Before Moving Machine
Governor control at LOW IDLE
Push flywheel clutch lever FORWARD
HOLD until clutch shaft stops
MOVE transmission speed selector to desired speed
RAISE lowered equipment
MOVE forward-reverse lever to select desired direction of travel
DEPRESS right brake pedal
RELEASE brake lock and right brake pedal
ENGAGE flywheel clutch
NOTE: Never operate tractor with flywheel clutch partially engaged. Lever must snap into the ENGAGED position.
MOVE governor control to increase engine speed.
Speed And Direction Controls
To change direction or ground speed
REDUCE engine speed
DEPRESS both brake pedals and
DISENGAGE flywheel clutch
HOLD clutch lever forward until clutch shaft stops
To change direction:
MOVE forward-reverse lever to select desired direction of travel.
To change ground speed: MOVE transmission speed selector to desired speed.
RELEASE brake pedals
NOTE: Do not use brake pedals as foot rests
ENGAGE flywheel clutch
MOVE governor control to desired engine speed
Normal Steering (in forward or reverse)
Steering On Steep Downgrade
When tractor is PULLING load - steer in normal manner.
Keep machine under control at all times. DO NOT disengage flywheel clutch or neutralize transmission or forward-reverse lever at any time.
When load is PUSHING tractor - Keep transmission speed selector in FIRST. If engine overspeeds depress BOTH brake pedals
DO NOT disengage flywheel clutch
DO NOT neutralize transmission or forward-reverse lever
