Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Remove drain plugs (2). Attach a hose to a 126-7914 Oil Drain Coupling. Install the threaded end of the coupling into the drain valve. Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.
- Clean the drain plugs and install the drain plugs.
- Wipe off dipstick/fill plugs (1) and the surfaces around dipstick/fill plugs (1).
- Remove the dipstick/fill plugs. Fill each axle with
1.0 L (1.06 qt) of 1U-9891 Hydraulic Oil Additive. Fill the axles with oil.Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities" for the type of lubricant and for the refill capacity.
- Clean the dipstick/fill plugs and install the dipstick/fill plugs.
- Run the machine on level ground for a few minutes in order to equalize the oil level in the axle. Check the oil level in the axle.
