Dump Body

------ WARNING! ------

The body (bed) may fall unexpectedly and without warning resulting in personal injury or death.

When it is necessary to work under the truck with the body (bed) raised, install the body (bed) retaining pins through the pin bores in the frame and body.

  1. Raise the dump body until the pin bores on the dump body align with the pin bores on the frame. Install the two body retaining pins.

  1. Inspect the dump body. If the dump body is damaged or worn, repair the dump body.

  1. Clean the frame with a wire brush or a scraper. If you find cracks or damage, contact your AVSpare dealer for the specific repair procedures.

  1. Remove the body retaining pins. If the pins cannot be removed, raise the dump body to release the tension. After lowering the dump body, place the pins in the stored position in the dump body.

Ejector Body

The tailgate may move suddenly and without warning, resulting in personal injury or death.

When it is necessary to work under the tailgate with the tailgate raised, install the tailgate retaining pins through the pin bores in the tailgate and body.

  1. Fully retract the ejector plate and raise the tailgate until the pin bore on the body aligns with the pin bore on the tailgate. Install the tailgate retaining pin.

  1. Clean the ejector body with a wire brush or a scraper. Inspect the ejector body. If the body is damaged or worn, repair the body. If you find cracks, contact your AVSpare dealer for the specific repair procedure.

  1. Remove the tailgate retaining pin. If the pin cannot be removed, raise the tailgate to release the tension. Place the pin in the stored position in the ejector body.
