Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact skin. At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the cooling system pressure cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the cooling system pressure cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury. |

NOTICE |
---|
Accumulated grease and oil on a machine is a fire hazard. Remove this debris with steam cleaning or high pressure water, at least every 1000 hours or each time any significant quantity of oil is spilled on a machine. |
- Look around the machine and under the machine for the following conditions:
- Missing bolts
- Damaged components
- Oil leaks
- Trash buildup in engine compartment
- Missing bolts
- Inspect the cooling system for any leaks, for faulty hoses, and for any trash buildup. Correct any leaks. Remove any trash from the radiator.
Trace the source of the leak and correct the leak. If you suspect a leak or you observe a leak, check the fluid levels more frequently.
- Inspect the condition of the belts. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace" for more information.
- Check that the areas around pivot points and linkages are free from mud, ice or debris.
- Inspect the attachment carriage and inspect the work tools for any damage or for excessive wear. Make any necessary repairs. Check the boom for damage and check the boom cylinders for any signs of oil leakage.
- Inspect the condition and security of all steps. Also, inspect the security of the handholds. Repair any damaged steps and handholds. The steps and handholds must be clean before using.
- Inspect the operator compartment for trash buildup. Check for broken gauges or indicator lights. Ensure that the windows, the mirrors and the lights are clean. Inspect all lights and mirrors for damage. If visibility is impaired, adjust or replace the lights and the mirrors. Inspect the brackets for the lights and the mirrors. Check the condition and the security of the operator seat. Check the condition of the seat belt.
- Inspect the indicators for broken bulbs and for broken lenses. Replace the bulbs or lenses, if necessary.
- Inspect the Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) for damage. If repair is necessary, consult your AVSpare dealer. Tighten any loose ROPS bolts.
- Inspect the hydraulic system for leaks. Inspect the tanks, the cylinder rod seals, the hoses, the tubes, the plugs, the connecting joints, and the fittings. Correct any leaks in the hydraulic system.
- Inspect the electrical wiring and inspect the exposed conductors for security. Inspect the electrical wiring and the exposed conductors for damage.
- Inspect the hydrostatic transmission system, the transfer gearbox, the axles and the brake lines for leaks. Make any necessary repairs.
- Check the oil levels, the coolant level, and the fuel level.
- Inspect the condition of the tires and check the inflation pressure of the tires. Inspect the tires for cuts, gouges and other damage. Any damaged tire must be repaired. If the tire cannot be repaired, replace the tire. If repair is necessary, your tire dealer can repair the tire. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Tire Inflation Pressure Adjustment" for the correct inflation pressures and other important information.
- If necessary, service the engine air precleaner. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Air Precleaner - Clean" for more detailed information.
- Ensure that all the guards and all the access doors are in place. Ensure that all the guards and the access doors are properly closed and secured.
- Inspect the seat belt for damage. Always check the condition of the seat belt and the mounting hardware before you operate the machine. Replace any damaged parts or worn parts. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Maintenance Interval Schedule" for the maintenance intervals for the seat belt.
- Check the belt webbing for wear or for fraying. If any damage is found, replace the belt.
- Check the buckles for correct operation. The buckles should snap firmly shut and the buckles should release promptly.
- Check the belt mountings and the hardware. Ensure that the belt mountings are secure. Also, make sure that the hardware is secure.
- Check that all messages on the machine can be clearly read.
Note: Do not operate the machine until all corrective action that is required has been completed.
