- Remove all of the dead limbs. Cut the roots on the opposite side of the falling tree.
- Cut the roots in a parallel direction of the falling tree.
- Ease into the tree. Push in the direction of falling tree while the blade is high. Build an earth ramp if higher contact is needed.
- Do not drive onto the stump while the tree is falling.
Back away immediately when tree starts to fall, to prevent possible injury.
Large Brush and Medium Size Trees - Contact the tree 300 to 400 mm (12 to 16 inches) above the ground. Move forward while you raise the blade.
Brush Clearing - Lower the blade slightly into the ground and move forward. Raise the blade when the brush is out in order to loosen the earth from the roots.
Stump Removal - Raise the blade while you push the stump.
