- Fill the hydraulic system oil tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" and Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities". When the hydraulic oil shows in the bleeder port of the brake pump, replace the plug. Tighten the plug to 40 ± 5 N·m (29.5 ± 4 lb ft).
- Inspect the gasket on the hydraulic tank filler cap for damage. Replace the gasket, if necessary.
- Install the hydraulic tank filler cap.
- Start the engine and run the engine for a few minutes. The cooling fan should be operating and the brake oil pressure indicator should go out. If the cooling fan is not operating or the brake oil pressure indicator does not go out, repeat steps 6 and 7.
- Maintain the hydraulic oil level above the "ADD COLD" mark on the sight gauge. Add oil, if necessary.
Note: The oil must be free of bubbles. If bubbles are present in the oil, air is entering the hydraulic system. Inspect the suction hoses and hose clamps.
