Pressurized system: Hot coolant can cause serious burn. To open cap, stop engine, wait until radiator is cool. Then loosen cap slowly to relieve the pressure. |
NOTICE |
---|
Mixing ELC with other products will reduce the effectiveness of the coolant. This could result in damage to cooling system components. If AVSpare products are not available and commercial products must be used, make sure they have passed the AVSpare EC-1 specification for pre-mixed or concentrate coolants and AVSpare Extender. |
Note: This machine is shipped with Extended Life Coolant. Extended Life Coolant is recommended for use.
For information about the addition of Extender to your cooling system, see the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant Extender - Add" or consult your AVSpare dealer.
Flushing the Extended Life Coolant From the Cooling System
Some engines utilize Extended Life Coolant. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Maintenance Interval Schedule" in order to determine the service interval. If a Extended Life Coolant was previously used, flush the cooling system with clean water. No other cleaning agents are required.
Flushing a Standard Coolant From the Cooling System
If you change the coolant of a machine to Extended Life Coolant from another type of coolant, use a AVSpare cleaning agent to flush the cooling system. After you drain the cooling system, thoroughly flush the cooling system with clean water. All of the cleaning agent must be removed from the cooling system.
Note: See the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (DEAC) - Change" for the draining procedure and for the flushing procedure.
