NOTICE |
---|
For operator comfort and maximum service life of power train components, deceleration and/or braking is recommended before any directional shifts are made. |
To prevent injury, make sure that no people are on the machine or near the machine. To prevent injury, keep the machine under control at all times.
Reduce engine speed when you maneuver in tight quarters or when you are going over a hill.
Select the appropriate travel speed before you start to drive the machine downhill. Do not shift the transmission direction and speed control while you are going downhill.
When you drive the machine downhill, use the same gear speed that would be used to drive the machine uphill.
Do not allow the engine to overspeed when you go downhill. Use the service brake control to reduce engine overspeed when you are going downhill. Never coast the machine.
Before you start to drive the machine downhill, move the transmission to first speed. You should move the transmission to first speed when the weight of the load will be helping to push the machine.
Operating The Machine
- Check for adequate clearance around the machine.
- Adjust the operator seat.
- Adjust the mirrors.
- Adjust the steering column tilt control.
- Fasten the seat belt.
- Raise the bowl in order to pass over any obstacles.
- Place the apron control lever in the FLOAT position.
- Depress the service brake control in order to prevent the machine from moving.
- Push the parking and secondary brake control in order to release the parking brake.
- Disengage the transmission neutral lock control.
- Move the transmission direction and speed control to the desired direction and the appropriate gear speed.
- Release the service brake control.
- Depress the accelerator control until you achieve the desired engine speed.
- Drive the machine forward in order to have the best visibility and the best control.
