The fuel tank cap is located on the left side of the machine.

  1. Remove the fuel tank cap.

  1. Remove dipstick (1), retaining ring (2), and the strainer.
    Show/hide table

  1. Disassemble the fuel tank cap. Remove screw (3), washer (4), baffle plate (5), gaskets (6) and (7), and element (8) .

  1. Wash the strainer and the components of the fuel tank cap in a clean, nonflammable solvent.

  1. Inspect the tank cap seal. Replace the seal if the seal is damaged.

  1. Apply a thin coat of oil to the components of the fuel tank cap. Assemble the fuel tank cap.

  1. Install the strainer, the dipstick, the retaining ring, and the fuel tank cap.
