The information in this manual specifically addresses the maintenance, operation, and repair of the attachment.

This manual should be stored in the operator's compartment in the literature folder or seat back literature storage area.

This manual contains safety, operation, transportation, lubrication, and maintenance information.

Some photographs or illustrations in the publication show details or attachments that may be different from your machine. Guards and covers may have been removed for illustrative purposes.

Continuing improvement and advancement of product design may have caused changes to your machine which are not included in this publication.

Read, study, and keep this manual with the machine.

When a question arises regarding your attachment, of this publication, please consult your AVSpare dealer for the latest available information.

Attachment Safety Operation

Attach a "DO NOT OPERATE" or similar warning tag to start switch or controls before servicing or repairing the machine. These tags, Form SEHS7332, are available from your AVSpare dealer.

Know the width of your attachment so proper clearance can be maintained when operating near fences, boundary obstacles, etc.

Wear a hard hat, protective glasses and other protective equipment as required by job conditions.

Information

Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that can catch on controls or other parts of the machine.

Make certain all protective guards and covers are secured in place on the machine.

Never put maintenance fluids into glass containers.

Use all cleaning solutions with care.

Report all needed repairs.

Do not allow unauthorized personnel on the machine.

Perform all maintenance unless otherwise specified as follows:

* The machine parked on level ground.
* The attachment controls in HOLD.
* The transmission control in NEUTRAL.
* The parking/secondary brake engaged.
* The engine stopped.
* The key start switch off and the key removed.
* The disconnect switch off and the key removed.

Protective Equipment

Always wear a hard hat, protective glasses, protective shoes and other protective equipment as required by job conditions when working around this product. In particular, wear protective glasses when pounding on any part of the product with a hammer or sledge. use welder's gloves, hood/goggles, apron, and other protective clothing appropriate to the welding job being performed.

Pressurized Items

Relieve all pressure in air, oil or water systems before any lines, fittings, or related items are disconnected or removed. Always make sure all raised components are blocked correctly and be alert to possible trapped pressure when disconnecting any device that utilizes pressure.

Lower the attachment to the ground before performing any work. If this cannot be done, make sure the attachment is blocked correctly to prevent it from dropping unexpectedly.

Pressure air can cause personal injury. When using pressure air for cleaning, wear a protective face shield, protective clothing and protective shoes.

The maximum air pressure must be below 205 kPa (30 psi) for cleaning purposes.

Fluid Penetration

Always use a board or cardboard when checking for a leak. Escaping fluid under pressure, even a pin-hole size leak, can penetrate body tissue, causing serious injury and possible death. If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated by a doctor familiar with this type of injury immediately.

Lifting

Use a hoist when lifting components that weigh 23 kg (50 lb) or more, to avoid back injury. Make sure all chains, hooks, slings, etc. are in good condition and are the correct capacity. Be sure hooks are positioned correctly. Lifting eyes are not to be excessively side loaded during a lifting operation.

Crushing Or Cutting Prevention

Properly support the equipment or the attachment when working beneath the equipment or attachment. Do not depend on hydraulic cylinders to hold it up. Any attachment can fall if a control is moved, or if a hydraulic line breaks.

Never attempt adjustments while the machine is moving or the engine is running unless otherwise specified.

When there are attachment linkages, the clearance in the linkage area will increase and decrease with movement of the attachment.

Do not use a kinked or frayed wire rope cable. Wear gloves when handling a wire rope cable.

Retaining pins, when struck with force, can fly out and injure nearby persons. Make sure the area is clear of people when driving the retainer pins.

Wear protective glasses when striking a retainer pin to avoid injury to your eyes.

Chips or other debris can fly off objects when struck. Make sure no one can be injured by flying debris before striking any object.

Burn Prevention

Hot oil and oil-carrying components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or oil-carrying components to contact your skin.

Relieve all pressure in the air and oil systems before any lines, fittings, tubes, hoses, or related items are disconnected or removed.

Fire And Explosion Prevention

Most lubricants are flammable.

Clean and tighten all electrical connections. Check daily for loose or frayed electrical wires. Have all loose or frayed electrical wires tightened, repaired, or replaced before operating the machine.

Keep all lubricants stored in properly marked containers and away from all unauthorized persons.

Store all oily rags or other flammable material in a protective container, in a safe place.

Do not weld or flame cut on pipes or tubes that contain flammable solvent before welding or flame cutting on them.

Remove all flammable materials such as oil or other debris before they accumulate on the attachment.

Loose or damaged lubrication and hydraulic lines, tubes and hoses can cause fires. Do not bend or strike high pressure lines or install ones which have been bent or damaged. Check lines, tubes, and hoses carefully. Do not use your bare hands to check for leaks. Pin hole leaks can result in a high velocity fluid stream that will be invisible close to the hose, tube or line.

Safety Signs

Read and understand all Warning signs on the product before operating, lubricating, or repairing this product. Replace any damaged, illegible or missing warning plates, signs or decals.

Repair

1. Disconnect battery and discharge any capacitors before starting to work on the product. Attach a "Do Not Operate" tag in the Operator's Compartment. These tags, Form Number SEHS7332, are available from your AVSpare Dealer.
2. If possible, make repairs with the machine parked on a level, hard surface. Block machine to prevent it from rolling while working on or under machine.
3. Do not work on any attachment supported only by lift jacks or a hoist. Always use blocks or jack stands to support the attachment before performing any service or disassembly.
4. Be careful when removing cover plates. Gradually back off the last two bolts or nuts located at the opposite ends of the cover or device. Then, pry the cover loose to relieve any spring or other pressure, before removing the last two bolts and nuts completely.
5. Always use tools that are in good condition and be sure you understand how to use them before performing any service operation.
6. Replace all fasteners with the same part number. Do not use a lesser quality fastener if replacements are necessary.
7. Welding repairs should be performed only with the benefit of the appropriate reference information and by personnel adequately trained and knowledgeable in welding procedures. Determine types of metal being welded and select correct welding procedure and electrodes, rods, or wire to provide a weld metal strength equivalent or better than the parent metal.
8. Do not damage wiring during removal operation. Reinstall the wiring so it is not damaged or will not be damaged in operation by contacting sharp corners, or by rubbing against some object or hot surface. Do not connect wiring to a line containing fluid.
9. Be sure all protective devices including guards and shields are properly installed and functioning correctly before starting a repair. If a guard or shield must be removed to perform the repair work, use extra caution. Repair any loose or damaged fluid lines, tubes, or hoses because leaks can cause fires./
10. Tighten connections to the correct torque. All heat shields, clamps, and guards must be installed correctly to avoid excessive heat, vibration, or rubbing against other parts during operation.
11. Store rags that have oil or other flammable material on them, in protective containers, away from open fires, welding or cutting areas.
