Tractor

1. Keep engine speed low until oil pressure registers. If oil pressure does not register, stop engine and investigate.
2. Operate under light load for 5 minutes.

NOTE: It is possible to start the engine when the transmission selector lever is in other than NEUTRAL. When the machine is started with lever in other than NEUTRAL, the machine will not move. Should this happen, move the selector lever to NEUTRAL then to the desired speed range.

3. Check crankcase oil level with engine at low idle, machine level and engine at normal operating temperature. Engine oil level should be between ADD OIL and FULL marks on dipstick.

4. Check transmission oil level with machine level, engine at low idle and oil at operating temperature. Transmission oil level should be between FULL and ADD OIL marks.

5. Check hydraulic oil filter change indicator. Have filter serviced if RED plunger in indicator is visible when oil is at operating temperature.

6. Check air cleaner service indicator. If RED piston is locked in the visible position, have air cleaner serviced.

Scraper

1. Regulate scraper engine speed by moving governor control. Keep engine speed low until oil pressure registers. If oil pressure does not register, stop engine and investigate.
2. Depress brake pedal to release accelerator lock. Operate engine under light load for 5 minutes.

3. Check crankcase oil level with engine at low idle, machine level and oil at normal operating temperature. Engine oil level should be between FULL and ADD OIL marks on dipstick.

4. Check transmission oil level with machine level, engine at low idle and oil at operating temperature. Transmission oil level should be between FULL HOT and ADD OIL marks.

5. Check air cleaner service indicator. If colored piston is locked in the visible position, have air cleaner serviced.

------ WARNING! ------

If scraper warning horn sounds, check the transmission synchronization light immediately. If the light is on, report scraper transmission problems. If the light is not on, stop scraper engine. Check scraper gauges to determine cause of warning (high torque converter temperature, high water temperature, high retarder oil temperature, low fuel pressure or low engine oil pressure). Correct cause or report needed repair.

------WARNING!--------

Gauges

Check gauges frequently during operation. All gauges must indicate in NORMAL operating range. The ammeter is normal when the indicator is at or on the + side of zero.
