- 1. Remove crankcase drain plug.
- 2. Remove filter drain plug and drain filter housing.
- 3. Remove housing and old element. Clean inside of housing.
- 4. Clean filter base and install new seal if necessary.
- 5. Install new element and housing.
- 6. Install filter housing drain plug.
- 7. Install crankcase drain plug.
- 8. Fill crankcase. (Refill capacity on page 36).
- 9. Remove breather.
- 10. Wash breather in clean solvent.
- 11. Install new seal and install breather. Tighten bolt to 10 ± 2 lb. ft. (1,4 ± 0,3mkg).
- 12. Start engine and check oil level. Oil should be to FULL mark on engine running side of gauge.
(21)Hydraulic Control System - Change Filter Element
- 1. Lower all equipment and stop engine. Loosen bleed plug to relieve pressure.
- 2. Remove cover and old element.
- 3. Inspect cover seal. Install new seal if necessary.
- 4. Install new filter element. Install cover.
- 5. Start engine and operate at low idle.
- 6. Tighten bleed plug when oil flows free of air bubbles.
- 7. Check oil level. Oil should be to FULL mark on gauge. Add oil as required.
(22)Bevel Gear And Steering Clutch Compartment - Change Filter Element, W Wash Breather and Wash Screen
- 1. Remove seat. Remove filter cover.
- 2. Remove element.
- 3. Check cover seal. Install new seal if necessary.
- 4. Install new element and cover.
- 5. Remove cover and screen.
- 6. Wash screen in clean solvent.
- 7. Inspect cover seals. Install new seals if necessary.
- 8. Install screen and cover.
- 9. Remove breather and wash in clean solvent. Earlier Traxcavators had breather located on top of fill plug.
- 10. Lightly oil breather and install.
- 11. Check oil level. Oil should be to FULL mark on gauge. Add oil as required.
(23)Fuel Tanks And Filler Caps
Open valve to drain water and sediment.
Remove and disassemble cap. Wash parts in clean solvent. Lightly oil element. Assemble and install cap.
