(15)Fan Adjusting Pulley Bearings

Lubricate 1 fitting.

(16)Track Adjusting Screws

Lubricate 2 fittings.

(17)Transmission System-Change Filter Element and Wash and Oil Metal Breathers

------ WARNING! ------

Lift Arm Support must be in place.

------WARNING!--------

1. Remove floor plates.

2. Remove filter cover and element.

3. Separate element from cover.

4. Inspect seals and install new seals if necessary.

5. Install new element to cover. Tighten nut to 10 ± 2 lb. ft. (1,4 ± 0,3mkg).

6. Install element and cover. Tighten cover bolts to 35 ± 5 lb. ft. (4,8 ± 0,7mkg).

7. Start engine and operate a few minutes. Check oil level. 8. Add oil, if required, to FULL mark on gauge.

9. Remove breathers and wash in clean solvent. Dry with pressure air.
10. Lightly oil elements. Install breathers.

NOTE: If this is a plastic breather discard and use new breather after 1000 Service Hours.

(18)Steering Clutch Brakes - Check-Adjust

Measure pedal free travel. Travel must be 3 to 4 inches (75 to 100 mm) measured at the center of the foot pad.

1. If adjustment is necessary, remove cover. Turn socket clockwise until tight.

2. Turn socket counterclockwise 2 1/2 turns. Check adjustment. Install cover.
3. Repeat procedure for opposite steering clutch brake.

(19)Fan And Alternator Belts - Check-Adjust

Lift Arm Support must be in place.

------WARNING!--------

Check condition and adjustment of belts. Correct adjustment is 7/8 inch (22 mm) deflection. (Initial installation with new belts - 3/4 inch (19 mm).

1. Loosen alternator mounting bolts.

2. Move alternator to tighten or loosen belts.
3. Tighten alternator mounting bolts. Recheck adjustment.
