MACHINE ARRANGEMENT

(45)Tractor Transmission System - Change Oil, Wash Screens and Wash and Oil Breather
- 1. Remove transmission drain plug.
- 2. Remove oil sump drain plug.
- 3. Disconnect tube assembly and install new seal.
- 4. Remove screen and wash in clean kerosene.
- 5. Install screen and tube assembly.
- 6. Remove cover and screen. Install new seal.
- 7. Remove screen and wash in kerosene. Install screen on cover (do not crush screen) and install cover.
- 8. Remove cover and element. Wash in kerosene and dry with pressure air. Lightly oil element and install.
- 9. Change filter element and wash magnetic strainer. (See items 31 and 42.)
- 10. Clean and install all drain plugs.
- 11. Fill transmission to FULL mark on gauge. (Refill capacity on page 54.)
- 12. Start engine and operate machine a few minutes.
- 13. Check oil level. Maintain oil level to FULL mark on gauge.
(46)Scraper Transmission System - Change Oil, Wash Screen and Wash and Oil Breather
- 1. Remove transmission tank filler cap.
- 2. Remove drain plugs.
- 3. Remove filler screen and wash in kerosene. Install screen.
- 4. Install new filler cap gasket. Install cap.
- 5. Change filter element and wash magnetic strainer. (See items 32 and 43.)
- 6. Clean and install all drain plugs.
- 7. Fill transmission to FULL mark on gauge. (Refill capacity on page 54.)
- 8. Start engine and operate machine a few minutes.
- 9. Stop engine.
- 10. Check oil level with machine on level ground.
- 11. Add oil if necessary.
(47)Tractor Differential And Final Drives - Change Oil
- 1. Position final drive drain plugs down.
- 2. Remove both final drive drain plugs and drain oil.
- 3. Remove differential drain plug and drain oil.
- 4. Clean and install drain plugs. Remove final drive fill plugs.
- 5. Fill final drives to level of plug openings. Clean and install fill plugs.
- 6. Remove differential fill cap. Fill differential to FULL mark on gauge. (Refill capacity on page 54.)
- 7. Clean and install fill cap.
- 8. Start engine and operate machine on level ground a few minutes.
- 9. Check oil level. Oil should be to FULL mark on gauge. Add oil if necessary.
(48)Scraper Differential And Right Final Drive - Change Oil
- 1. Position right final drive with drain plug down.
- 2. Remove final drive drain plug. Drain oil.
- 3. Remove differential drain plug. Drain oil.
- 4. Clean and install drain plugs.
- 5. Remove right final drive fill plug.
- 6. Fill to level of plug opening.
- 7. Clean and install fill plug.
- 8. Remove differential filler cap.
- 9. Fill differential. (Refill capacity for differential and right final drive on page 54.)
- 10. Install cap.
- 11. Check oil level.
- 12. Oil level should be up to FULL mark on gauge. Add oil if necessary.
(49)Scraper Left Final Drive - Change Oil
- 1. Position wheel so drain plug is down.
- 2. Remove drain plug. Drain oil.
- 3. Clean and install drain plug.
- 4. Remove fill plug.
- 5. Fill to level of plug opening. (Refill capacity on page 54.)
- 6. Clean and install plug.
