(29)Transmission - Change Oil, Wash Magnetic Strainer
- 1. Remove transmission drain plug.
- 2. Change filter element. (See item 19.)
- 3. Remove cover and retaining bolts.
- 4. Remove tube and screen.
- 5. Wash tube, screen and magnets in clean kerosene or diesel fuel. Do not drop magnets or rap against hard objects.
- 6. Install tube and screen. Tighten retaining nuts.
- 7. Install cover. Use a new gasket if necessary.
- 8. Clean and install drain plug.
- 9. Fill transmission. (Refill capacity on page 39.)
- 10. Check oil level and add if required. Operate loader a few minutes and recheck oil level.
(30)Steering Gear Housing
- 1. Remove filler plug.
- 2. Maintain oil level at filler plug opening.
- 3. Add oil if required and install plug.
(31)Frame Lower Pivot Bearing
Lubricate 1 fitting.
(32)Steering Shaft And Universals
Lubricate 3 fittings.
(33)Steering Follow-Up Linkage
Lubricate 2 fittings.
Effective with 25 K 282 - up.
(34)Drive Shaft Support Bearing
Lubricate 1 fitting. (3 strokes)
(35)Front Drive Shaft Universal Joints
Lubricate 3 fittings.
(36)Rear Drive Shaft Universal Joints
Lubricate 2 fittings.
(37)Hydraulic Pump Drive Universal
Lubricate 2 fittings.
(38)Front And Rear Differentials And Final Drives - Change Oil
- 1. Position each wheel with drain plug down.
- 2. Remove final drive drain plugs and drain oil.
- 3. Remove front differential drain plug and drain oil.
- 4. Remove rear differential drain plug and drain oil.
- 5. Clean and install all drain plugs.
- 6. Fill final drives to level of fill plug openings and install plugs.
- 7. Fill front differential to level of fill plug opening and install plug.
- 8. Fill rear differential to level of check plug opening. Install check and fill plug.
