To Adjust

1. REMOVE cover

2. TIGHTEN nut

3. LOOSEN locknut

4. TIGHTEN screw

5. LOOSEN screw 1 turn

6. TIGHTEN locknut

7. LOOSEN nut 3 turns

8. INSTALL cover

9. CHECK adjustment

REPEAT PROCEDURE for opposite steering clutch brake

(Pedal Steer Machines)

FREE TRAVEL must be 3 inches (76,2 mm)

1. REMOVE cover

2. TIGHTEN nut until snug

3. LOOSEN nut 2-1/2 turns

4. INSTALL cover

5. CHECK adjustment

REPEAT PROCEDURE for opposite steering clutch brake

(33)Clean diesel fuel tank filler cap

1. REMOVE cap

2. DISASSEMBLE

3. WASH cap and elements in kerosene or clean diesel fuel

4. LIGHTLY coat with lubricating oil

(34)Clean fuel tank filler strainer

1. REMOVE lock ring and strainer

2. CLEAN in kerosene or clean diesel fuel

3. INSTALL strainer and lock ring

No smoking around flammable liquids

(35)Change transmission oil filter element

1. REMOVE side covers

2. REMOVE cover and element

3. SEPARATE element from cover INSPECT seals

4. INSTALL new element TIGHTEN to 10 ± 2 lb. ft. (1,4 ± 3 mkg)

5. INSTALL element and cover START engine

6. CHECK oil level

7. ADD oil as required

(36)Check fan and generator belts

1. CHECK for wear

2. CHECK adjustment


Correct adjustment-7/8" (22 mm) (Initial installation with new belts-3/4" [19 mm])

1. LOOSEN bolts

2. MOVE generator

3. TIGHTEN bolts

4. CHECK adjustment

1. REMOVE cover REMOVE drain plug

2. Drain crankcase

3. INSTALL drain plug INSTALL cover

4. REMOVE side cover

5. REMOVE drain plug DRAIN housing

6. INSTALL drain plug

7. REMOVE housing and old element

8. CHECK seal

9. INSTALL new element and housing

10. Fill crankcase

11. To level on gauge

12. START engine

13. CHECK oil level

14. ADD oil as required To FULL mark on ENGINE RUNNING side of gauge

1. REMOVE breather

2. WASH in clean kerosene or diesel fuel

3. CHECK seal

4. INSTALL breather

1. REMOVE breather

2. WASH in clean kerosene or diesel fuel

3. Oil lightly

4. INSTALL

1. REMOVE breather

2. Wash in clean kerosene or diesel fuel

3. Oil lightly

4. INSTALL

(41)Change hydraulic control system oil filter element

1. LOWER raised equipment

2. REMOVE cover

3. REMOVE element

4. INSPECT seal

5. INSTALL new element

6. TIGHTEN to 43 ± 4 lb. ft. (5,9 ± 0,6 mkg)

7. OPEN bleed valve

8. START engine

9. CLOSE bleed valve when oil flows without air bubbles

10. CHECK oil level

11. ADD oil as necessary

1. REMOVE cover

2. REMOVE element

3. INSPECT seal

4. INSTALL new element

5. INSTALL cover

6. START engine

7. CHECK oil level

8. ADD oil as required
