- 3. DRIVE machine back and forth
- 4. LOOSEN relief valve until valve touches guard
- 5. LOOSEN fill valve until valve touches guard
- 6. DRIVE machine back and forth until ...
- 7. ... sag is correct (1 - 1-1/2 inches -25-38 mm)
- 8. TIGHTEN relief valve
- 9. TIGHTEN fill valve

(23)*Drain final fuel filter
- 1. CLOSE fuel valve
- 2. REMOVE side cover
- 3. OPEN vent valve
- 4. REMOVE drain plug
- 5. DRAIN filter
- 6. INSTALL drain plug
- 7. CLOSE vent valve
- 8. OPEN fuel valve
- 9. PRIME the fuel system

If fuel pressure gauge register OUT, clean primary fuel filter element
- 1. CLOSE fuel valve
- 2. REMOVE element
- 3. WASH in clean kerosene or diesel fuel
- 4. INSTALL element
- 5. OPEN fuel valve
Start the Engine
If fuel pressure gauge still registers OUT, change final fuel filter
- 1. CLOSE fuel valve REMOVE drain plug
- 2. Drain filter
- 3. REMOVE filter (8S2265 Strap Wrench)
- 4. CLEAN gasket surface
- 5. LUBRIAVSE gasket with diesel fuel
- 6. INSTALL new filter **
- 7. OPEN fuel valve
- 8. PRIME the fuel system

- 9. START engine CHECK for fuel leaks
**Tighten until gasket surface contacts base, then tighten additional 1/2 turn
Priming The Fuel System
- 1. MOVE governor control to OFF
- 2. OPEN vent valve
- 3. UNLOCK priming pump
- 4. OPERATE pump
- 5. UNTIL fuel flows free of air bubbles
- 6. CLOSE and LOCK pump
- 7. CLOSE vent valve
- 8. START engine
No smoking around flammable liquids
(24)Drain steering clutch compartments (lever steer only)
- 1. REMOVE drain plugs
- 2. DRAIN water and sediment.
- 3. INSTALL drain plugs
Clutch slippage or difficult steering may be caused by oil or dirt in the steering clutches.
If oil or dirt is present, DRAIN and WASH - use NONFLAMMABLE solvent. Machine must be LEVEL.

- 1. REMOVE cover
- 2. ADD solvent ...
To level indicated
Compartments must be COOL
Area must be well VENTILATED
- 3. DRIVE machine back and forth ... 5 minutes
DO NOT release steering clutches
- 4. REMOVE drain plugs
- 5. DRAIN compartments
- 6. INSTALL drain plugs
- 7. ADD solvent to level indicated
- 8. DRIVE machine back and forth ... 5 minutes
- 9. REMOVE drain plugs
APPLY brakes occasionally
